
Viewing Sales Information:
To view sales information click the "Sales" tab. A screen will appear with the following attributes:
ProdLvl1: Product Level 1 refers to a product grouping. SMP groups each of your sales into Specific groups which allow you to see what you are selling the customer at a product level
Total: The bold figures at the top represent Totals for all categories under ProdLvl1
"Year" Sell: Refers to the total sales for a particular calendar year for a specific group in category ProdLvl1
GP%: denotes gross profit margin for a product grouping.
Market Potential: Imported industry figures based on Total "Industry" Sales per employee multiplier for a particular SIC Code.
Potential: Entry by a sales person that has contacted the customer and confirmed their current annual purchases of product group represented
Goal: A user defined entry defining the sales goals for a particular customer.
Competitor: Denotes the primary competitor for a particular category. Competitor can be either a local distributor or another manufacturer line
Entering Potentials and Goals:
For the respective product levels enter your potentials and goals into the appropriate field. A total in maintained at the top
Enter the Potential and Goals for the various groupings on this screen. In the example above, Account Manager Jack Boman has set the total potential sales for MCC's at $58,000 but his goal is to at least sell them $39,000. Not bad since they have never bought MCC's from Jack in the past.
Note: You can break-out Sales potential and Goals by Product Level 3 in the Sales Detail screen. Click on the "Sales Detail" tab or click on the Prod Lvl 1 name.
