Adding Activities
Tracking and Filtering Activities
Complete an Activity
Deactivate an Activity
Tracking and
Filtering Activities - SMP allows you
to filter and sort your tasks and activities using a multitude of filter
criteria.
Tip: Once you have filtered
your Activities, clicking the hyperlink of the activity will take you to the
activity page where you can modify it.
You can
sort and filter by:
- Customer
- Territory Level and Territory
- Account Manager
- Zip Code
- Dun's Number
- Sic code range
- Customer programmable fields
- Activity type
- Activity Number
- Subject
- Contact
- Owner/Entered by
- Sale Purpose (Pre-sales or Post-sales)
- Time Spent
- TCO
You can then further refine your search by:
- Date ranges -Select the small square checkbox to
activate any or all of the date range selections. Selecting the box
will highlight the date range. Use the menu box to select a date, a
calendar will appear. Click on the date you wish to select. Use the
arrow buttons on the top left and right hand sides of the calendar to
advance through the months
- Use View to select which types of activities you
would like to see
- Use Display
to define the number of records you wish to display subsequent to
entering your filter criteria.

Use the Active
menu box to select either active, inactive, or both types of accounts.

Use the Sort
By menu box and
Ascending/Descending buttons to determine the order in which records
will be displayed on the screen.
Complete
an activity:
- Open the Activity
- Change the "status" to
complete
- Close the Activity
Deactivate
an Activity:
- Deactivating an Activity does not remove
it from the database but does make it no longer accessible. Use this with
caution. To keep a task accessible but not "Active" or
"Complete" there are several other options available in
"status"
