Company Segment Filters

The company segment filters specify customers based on the organization of your company. These organizational segments are

 

To select a Territory, you must specify the Territory Level (region, branch or office) and then select the specific Territory (which region, branch or office). For example, to filter for all customers in the Western sales region, first select Region from the Territory Level filter menu and then select Western from the Territory filter menu. The menu choices for Territory Level and Territory are customized for each distributor who purchases SMP. The Account Manager menu choices reflect names entered in the Customer Screen. When the Market Analysis screen opens, territory level, territory, and account manager default to fit all the customers available to the user per preset permission levels.

 

The Zip Code Filter allows you view all customers in a specific zip code. When planning to visit a specific customer, viewing other customers in their zip code may allow you to plan second (time-efficient) customer visit. Selecting Not (to the right of the zip code field) allows you to view all customers except those in the selected zip code. This can be useful if most of an account manager’s customers are grouped in a single zip code and the remaining customers are scattered among many zip codes.
